TASHA POWELL, STYLIST & WRITER - FOOD & TRAVEL
Tasha is a stylist and writer who specializes in working with celebrities, celebrity chefs and leaders in the entertainment, hospitality and travel industries. She covers celebrity events in Los Angeles and in Europe. She also cooks and styles for monographs, cookbooks and Satellite Media Tours, working between North America and France.
Tasha works with chefs and cookbook authors as well as doing promotional work on film sets. She has managed and styled food for numerous television programs, working in fast-paced environments on trailers, teasers, films and webisodes as well as news segments. She is also accustomed to setting up mise-en-place and prop styling for a wide variety of culinary projects. She is a contributing culinary writer for “Perfectly Provence,” a website dedicated to travel and tourism of Provence, France.
She appreciates the variety of work that food styling requires: the artistic nature of food presentation, the fast-paced work on sets and the magic of using secret ingredients, techniques and tools. In addition, prop styling helps make the clients’ products look amazing on camera, TV or film. She finds that each day as a culinarian, there are unique opportunities to learn new techniques, recipes, ingredients, plating ideas, food customs or camera angles. She is especially inspired by international cuisines and travel to foreign countries.
